GHS CARE students Connor Aten, Max Carr, John Knapp and Officer Luna visit 14 year old accident victim and fellow GHS student Michael Gabbert at St. Francis today to deliver well wishes and encouragement.
These two ladies got a "turkey" competing at the UT Invitational today! That means they each bowled three strikes in a row. Way to go, Streaks! ⚡
Child Development students have learned how to best read books out loud and how to create lesson plans that have connected activities. We have focused on the areas of PIES; physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development from birth to the age of 7.
Environmental Science students perform a serial dilution of food coloring to simulate the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.
Construction crews hit a one inch high pressurized gas line. Ameren is on the scene with Galesburg Police department. As a precaution students were evacuated from Wicall and the East Side of Galesburg High School. The line has been clamped and there is no longer a concern. We want to remind you that safety is our number one concern. School will dismiss at regular time today.

Mrs. Grodjesk and this group of seniors went to CSC last Friday for the Day of Transition. This is a professional conference that focuses on the skill set needed to transition to post high school employment as well as education. This group is excited for what comes next!

Environmental Science students generated the gases that cause acid rain.
They then bubbled those gases through water to create acid rain and measured the pH of each resulting type of acid rain. Cool, huh?
Students in Ms. Gardner's class must answer an important question: would they rather receive $1,000 a day for 30 days, or receive a penny on day one of the month, and then double that amount each day for the month?

GHS Trivia Time! Did you know that the term "Cyber Monday" was coined by GHS class of 1996 grad Ellen (Tolley) Davis along with Scott Silverman? This term describes the Monday after the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S. Davis is President of the National Retail Federation.
