On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the Galesburg Area Vocational Center (GAVC) hosted a Career Exploration Industry Panel for junior high students to learn about future professional opportunities. The panel featured a group of guest speakers from various local sectors:

Panelists were asked to reflect on their first jobs and what they have learned along the way. Once the moderated portion of the panel concluded, students were encouraged to participate in an audience Q&A. By exposing students to these opportunities before they even enter high school, GAVC helps ensure that graduates are not just diploma-ready, but future-ready.
