On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the Galesburg Junior Senior High School Fearlessly Girl Club took flight at the 5th Annual Girls in Aviation Day at the Quad Cities International Airport.
From exploring aircraft, simulators, and airfield equipment to hands-on STEM activities, our students had the opportunity to discover aviation in exciting ways. They also connected with women leading the way in the industry, including keynote speaker Ashley Hanson, Unmanned Aviation Systems Manager for John Deere Aviation.
This global event helps inspire the next generation of girls to see themselves in aviation and STEM careers—and our students were ready to soar!
