As a reminder, for our homecoming games on Friday! Freshmen game begins at 5 p.m. with Varsity to follow!

🟢 Main Gate (South Gate-Red Box on Map) is cash and card-friendly; others accept card only.
🟢 Adult admission: $5. Students (without an ID)/Senior Citizen prices are $3. All students with a Galesburg CUSD #205 ID will be permitted free admission.
🟢 PreK-8 students must be accompanied by an adult for admission.
🟢 5-12th Grade students are asked to sit in their designated area within the stadium, and PreK-4th grade students are expected to remain with their parent/guardian at all times.
🟢 No backpacks or large bags permitted (except small purses, medical bags, and diaper bags-all subject to search).
🟢No exit and re-entry.
🟢No drugs or alcohol on school grounds.
🟢Illinois State Law prohibits smoking, vaping, or the use of any tobacco on school grounds.
🟢No loitering on school property after the event.

Accounting class took a poppin' turn as students teamed up to tackle transactions in a fun and interactive way! With paper popcorn pieces representing different entries, they dove into their T-accounts. The collaboration brought out teamwork skills while enjoying real popcorn treats together. Learning made deliciously engaging! It's great to see students not only grasping complex concepts but also sharing laughs and making new friends in the process. What an incredible start to the season for the Galesburg 7th Grade Silver Streak football team! They dominated E. Moline Glenview with an impressive 42-0 victory. Orlando Hernandez showcased his talent, completing 6 of 7 passes for a total of 98 yards and throwing two touchdown passes to Terence Jordan, who also racked up 98 receiving yards. Jordan Ostrander made some serious moves on the ground, rushing for 70 yards and scoring a touchdown of his own.

A big shoutout to Ryder Gibson, who was perfect in passing, Madyn Sargent with key receptions adding a PAT, Braxton Lamb contributing both rushing yards and another touchdown, plus Noah Fulk with multiple PATs! Defensively, Allen Turner snagged an interception and took it all the way for a touchdown, while John Dillard led with six tackles. Chase Gibson, along with Ostrander and Bentlee Spray, recovered fumbles, keeping the momentum strong! The Streaks are fired up as they prepare to return to action on September 10th at Rock Island at 4:15 PM. Keep it going, Streaks! #StreaksNation

Get your smiles ready, everyone! School picture day is just around the corner! Junior High students will have their photo day on Wednesday, September 3rd. Meanwhile, our 9th to 11th graders will have theirs on Thursday, September 4th. Additionally, seniors who missed the earlier session can still get their yearbook photos taken on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Don’t forget to bring your best smile and dress in style!

Last week, our Drawing I students embarked on an exciting journey by creating formative self-portraits during the first few days of school. These initial artworks serve as a snapshot of their current skills and perspectives. As the semester progresses, they will engage in lessons and extensive practice, honing their techniques and expanding their artistic vision. At the end of the semester, each student will revisit their first self-portrait and create a second one, allowing them to visually compare their growth and development as artists. #StreaksNation
