Congratulations to the Galesburg Scholastic Bowl team for their incredible achievement! Winning the Masonic Sectional for the third consecutive year is no small feat. Their hard work and dedication shone through as they emerged victorious against 10 competitive teams, including a thrilling finals match against Peoria Notre Dame. With an impressive 6-1 record on the day, they showcased their knowledge and teamwork by also defeating formidable opponents such as Dunlap, Pekin, Morton, Peoria Richwoods, and LaSalle-Peru along the way. This week, Mrs. Hinton's 2nd-period English class took on an exciting Black History Month breakout challenge! Students dove into the lives of influential trailblazers, collaborating and problem-solving along the way. By reading clues and deciphering codes, they not only deepened their understanding of black history but also strengthened their teamwork skills. A huge shoutout to Ava Chaney, JJ Bunde, Alizah Williams, Chloe Wishon, Josiah Miller, Haylee Camp, Scotti Jo Peel, Garrett Levene, and Aiden Slocum for completing this engaging challenge! #StreaksNation

Our Fearlessly Girl members had an incredible time celebrating Galentine’s Day! The laughter and joy were contagious as they learned to make homemade lasagna and chocolate-covered strawberries. It was wonderful to see friendships blossoming while they honed their cooking skills together. The GHS Gadet Dance team extends a heartfelt thank you to all the amazing participants who joined us for our recent clinic! We were thrilled to have 80 talented girls come together, learn new dance moves, and share their passion for dance. It was incredible to see everyone perform with such enthusiasm during the basketball game this past weekend. #StreaksNation
