It has been a busy week for the CUSD #205 Fine Arts Department! Some of the district’s Fine Arts Department including Andy Empey, Devin Cano, Dena Baity, and Kyle Barshinger visited King, Silas Willard, and Steele Elementary to assist 4th-grade students who have selected band next year at Lombard Middle School.
At each school, students were provided a one-on-one consultation with an instructor to test the three instruments they had previously selected as their top choices for band next year. This was to ensure the students' selections were a good fit.
For current 4th grade students who have selected band as their elective choice for next year, there will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 6 p.m. in the Lombard Auditorium, 1220 East Knox Street. The meeting will cover topics such as how to rent an instrument, expectations in band, and other necessary information.
