Steele Science Night

GHS Science teachers and students visited Steele Elementary School to present Science Night on a Thursday in April. Our fabulous GHS seniors kept the static electricity snapping and crackling for the kids and helped with many of the other activities!

Mr. Gayheart wowed the kids with experiments in conservation of momentum. Look at the expressions on those faces!

A trio of our top GHS seniors helped the Steele students with chromatography using markers and coffee filters. Who knew that the colors could do all of that?

Mr. Johnson worked with Steele students to set up density columns. What floats? What sinks? Why?

Kids made catapults with spoons, rubber bands, and tongue depressors. Our helpful GHS seniors showed ‘em how to get the job done.

Did some one say elephant toothpaste? Whoa! How big is the toothbrush that goes with this stuff?

And finally, just a little bit more static electricity before sending the kids home for the evening.
